Throttle body help!!!!
 

I decided to clean my Throttle body sittin at 60,000 miles I figured it was time. I removed it and sprayed it down on the inside, and scrubbed the butterfly. After this I put it back on and went for a drive made it to the end of the street and it runs like shit shakes like hell, idles horribly low. I'm pretty sure I F-Ed it up, but is there anything I can do? I know I'm an idiot but help!!!

Can anyone give some advice?

The usual thing is the electrical connector is not seated all the way, or not making good contact for some other reason.

How was the throttle body seal? In good shape?

Did you torque the mount screws in the proper order, and to the proper spec?

How about the intake temp sensor? Is the connector seated all the way?

Some others have fixed it by simply removing and installing it again.

The seal seemed good. I'm afraid I fried it. I didn't disconnect the battery before removing or install. I also hosed it down with cleaner. I'm letting it sit for the night disconnected. Thanks for the reply

Did any warning lights come on? Check for codes even if no lights came on.

I do that in the morning. I threw in the towel! Just getting more mad the more I look at it.

Here are the throttle body installation steps:

INSTALLATION

1. Install a new intake manifold to throttle body gasket, if replacement was necessary.
2. Install four new four j-nuts, if replacement was necessary.

CAUTION: The throttle body mounting bolts MUST be torqued to specifications. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN MOUNTING BOLTS. Over tightening can cause damage to the throttle body, throttle plate, gaskets, bolts and/or the intake manifold. Proper torque of the mounting bolts is critical to normal operation.

3. Install throttle body to intake manifold.
4. Install four bolts and hand tighten.
5. Connect throttle body electrical connector.

CAUTION: The throttle body must be torqued in a mandatory torque sequence. Tighten in a criss - cross pattern to specification.

6. Obtain a torque wrench. Tighten mounting bolts in a mandatory torque criss-cross pattern sequence to 65 in. lbs.
7. Install clean air hose and tighten clamps to 35 in. lbs.
8. Connect negative battery cable, tighten nut to 45 in. lbs.
9. Using the diagnostic scan tool, erase all previous DTC's and perform the ETC Relearn function.

I have read where doing this could affect the Butterfly positioning. Try disconnecting the battery again without touching anything. Maybe make sure that the butterfly is fully closed before reconnecting the battery.

Just dropped it off at the stealership, just getting diagnoses done.
