TIPM gone bad
I checked with my local dealer. They said 190 TIPMs are on back-order, with no projected acquisition date.
The TIPM retails for about $250. It can be installed by the owner. If the process is not done correctly, the dealer can bail you out.

I just had mine replaced as well. That was my fault for trying to cross a water crossing, but hey.
Anyways, they are on back order, and I didn't get a new one. They ended up giving me a used one and flew an engineer from chrysler out to reprogram it. I waited two months btw.

Pretty much the same thing. Had many on backorder thought he said something like 75. He had no idea when he would be able to get the part. Said he would give me a call today or tomorrow and give me an update. Sounds like it may be a while before I get the Jeep back, part and labor for repair said would be around $550...ouch!!! Have you been able to contact Chrysler?
The part# RL692236AI is a "remanufactured" part# and what our dealer parts dudes are trying to find for us with no luck. The original equipment# is 04692236AI and for some reason the parts guru's are not seeking this part#.
I have located a few dealers with the OE part on their shelf. I am getting one today and taking it to my dealer who has my jeep for them to get busy and get me back on the road.
good luck.
I had one go bad but only affected the a/c and fan motor. The dealer replaced it under warranty and it was back ordered and took two weeks. A real pain in the butt. Didnt know it was such a common problem.
