Default TPMS system questions

If the tire shop switched my back wheels, will I get a wrong reading from the TPMS system, will it show left as right and vise versa
I got a -- reading from the back right tire, replaced the sensor and sill am getting a -- reading from the right back tire, but now the left back tire is showing 0.0, so I'm thinking the tires were mixed
The faulty sensor is on the left and since I replaced the right one, its still showing -- and the replaced one is now showing 0.0 since it was not activated
does this sound correct?
How do you activate the sensor? and of course, I will rotate the back wheels.
Thanks

The Jeeps computer should figure it out after you drive a little bit, I rotate my own tires, it sometimes takes a day or two for the Jeep to sort out which tire went where.
