Default Trouble with HID Conversion

Every since I had an HID kit professionally installed (Notto SE Kit) I keep having problems. Often only one of my headlights will turn on, sometimes neither, and sometimes both. Very frustrating :( I had all of the connections checked and they are receiving power. I even had the 35 watt relax changed out for a 55 watt. Still the same issues.. Anyone have a similar experience or know what the problem may be? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes I have the same problem, only one light and it flikers when around 2000 rpm. I think it is to do with the computer.

Sounds like the modulation problem. This fixed my lights.

If you run them straight off the battery via relays that are tripped by your stock light circuit, you should have no flickering problems and not need any exotic capacitors wired in.
If that's how you're running it and the DRLs are turned off, then you might just be witnessing what happens when cheap-&-stinky Chinese products are used.

Look at this thread; some pictures of capsules that have begun to come apart internally.

Yep..

My 2009 had issues WITH a relay installed. I installed the capacitor and diode, no issues. It was certainly the pulse width modulated issue. I've rewired complete muscle cars before, I can certainly say 'my contribution' was correct on the relay install.

Default Big-Ups!

Thanks for all the replies! I will have a capacitor wired in and see if that handles the issue.. Its always frustrating when the company installing the products says the product is faulty and the manufacturer says it must have been faulty installation! Not as frustrating as when I did the lift and every time I went around a corner the traction control took over though! Had to permanently disengage it but that was a nightmare! Thanks again fellas!

I just bypassed it entirely by hooking up my fogs + headlight relay triggers to the parking lights I never run them independently anyway
