I have the button in my jeep buy when I push it it says not equip.. Why would there be a button if it didn't work??

you should be able to get the microphone kit.. plug in and away ya go.. might need a scan, I dont know, My stock radio didnt have Uconnect even tho it was supposed to be equipped...

im upgraded to a mygig RER, but from my research, you have the button and it seemingly functions, you just need to hook up a microphone kit

 

if you have a Mygig you just need the microphone kit.. if you have the regular RES or REQ radios you need the full U-connect module kit...

How can I tell which radio I have. Mine has a single cd, with satellite radio and the phone button that does nothing.

 

You have to buy the u connect microphone and maybe the Bluetooth kit. There is a write up on how to hook it up. Search u connect and blue tooth.

 

Call the dealer and give them your vin # they will tell you what model it is.
