UConnect Output not working (USB, BlueTooth, HandsFree Voice)
Sorry, but we need to dig a little more. You contacted me to try to assist you. If you want to figure this out, then you need to help me help you by answering my questions. I'm trying to help you trouble shoot what is going on and also help myself understand how your system got wired by the installer.
The fronts are where the UConnect audio usually comes out, and we still may be able to fix this but the part I'm still uncertain about is with the 2 channel front amp you added. Where did you splice the audio inputs for that amp? Is it off the back of the OE radio?
You said you're using the OE "amp" to power the rear speakers but if you have the non Infinity or non Kenwood 2013, then you don't have an external amp. So you're confusing how things are actually connected. If you don't have an external OE amp in the system, then you would not lose fade/bal like you are describing. So help me, help you.
Do you not have either of the OE premium audio options, the Infinity system or Kenwood system?
Does your system have a factory sub in the rear?
What year JK?
What happens when you adjust the fade control?
What happens when you adjust the balance control?

I'm at work but as soon as I get off I'll answer your questions. I'll contact the installer as well
I truly appreciate you helping me out. Sucks not being able to use the UConnect functionality. I want to listen to my iTunes! =)
So the First thing to Ask, Or he answered it already, The FACTORY AMP WAS DISCONNECTED.......WHICH MEANS THE UCONNECT WILL NOT WORK.......BECAUSE THE FRONT RIGHT SPEAKER IS THE ONLY SPEAKER TO PLAY THE VOICE FROM THE MODULE OR ANT UNIT.
SO IF YOU KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT THESE UNITS, YOU WOULD KNOW YOU CAN NOT TIE INTO OR MOVE AROUND ANY CONFIGURATION OF THE AMP........
WITH YOU COMMENT ( HE MIGHT NOT HAVE A FACTORY AMP) DID YOU EVEN READ THE FIRST LINE OF HIS POST?????
I have been working with these units and Can Bus for 7 years now...I'm not a Expert in All Fields like the Other guy..hehe...But I have Chrysler Documents on these things etc....Good Luck
You did mention you have a 2013, so that means you either have the Kenwood premium system or the basegrade system which doesn't have a separate amp. We need to figure out which you have to properly diagnose this and that's what my questions address.

Front speakers are where the Uconnect ALWAYS comes out, not usually..........
,
What is Non Infinity???
Where did a Kenwood 2013, not sure what that is, come into Play here?
He Simply said, Disconnected left/right Front from OEM AMP, connected an EXTRA AMP for Front.....Let OEM AMP power Sound Bar Speakers.....
.
So how are you Blaming him for Confusing How Things are Actually Connected. I understood him the First Read. That's why my Answer and anyone that Knows how the Head Units and Can Network are Involved here, is the Same Results.
No sense running the Guy around. SIMPLE, if OEM AMP was Altered, there will be Problems. No one has been able to or can Reprogram the Amps......
.
There is NO Kenwood from Chrysler........Infinity by Harman or Alpine for Speakers and Amp....
Head Units are MyGig 730 by Harman...430 by Mitsubishi,,,,, lower units by Alpine, Mitsubishi, etc.....
NO KENWOOD head units....
I would trust too much in what this person gives you about these units. Look at his post history and see how he does things like, He knows more then anybody, in fact you will find post from this Morning how he attacks members on here. It's as Simple as they sale a AMP Bypass if you choose not to use factory Amp but want to Keep The Can Bus Network undisturbed and get ERROR Codes......

I ran out to the Jeep and verified I do have the UConnect 130 CD/MP3 with the Connectivity Group Option.
The Fade does indeed work from front to back.
I'm surprised more JK Jeepers are not having this problem.
So with my UConnect 130, does that come with an amp or did the installer just power the overheads speakers from the radio. The front and rear speakers are definitely running off of different power sources.
Anyone have any idea on how to fix my sh!tty problem? Thanks!

Yep...now read that again dumb ass. "run the stock amp from the stereo". What does that mean smart guy? The "stereo" has built in amplifiers. So it's not clear if he has an external OE amp or not and that's what we need to figure out before you go on your rants.
Additionally, "If" he did have an external amp, then how is he feeding audio to the inputs of his new amp? That's a question I asked previously. Because, if he does have the OE amp like you are jumping to a conclusion, then he CAN'T just tap into the outputs from the head unit and feed them into the inputs of the new amp he added because, those audio outputs that come out of the head unit come out at a fixed level.....non volume knob adjustable. Thus, corresponding with what you said of having the volume adjustments done inside of the external amp through the CAN bus. Obviously, your dumb ass hasn't figured that part out yet.[/QUOTE
....NO IT DOES NOT...LOL>>>>LOL>>>>LOL>>>>
run the stock amp from the stereo<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< That CLEARLY says Amp from Stereo.....count them...AMP...is one.... Stereo is two....TWO UNITS.... .....WOW......what he is saying, Because the Wires run from Stereo to Amp, and just because he may have turned the words around, it still makes sense.....Call me another Name....

So since that's all so clear to you, now go ahead and explain why he is not hearing audio from his Uconnect?
