under seat wiring harnesses?
2007 JK X model.
I am changing out the front driver's seat. I have found a replacement factory seat (used but supposedly from same model year) but the wiring harnesses under the seats are different. I have two wiring connector plugs under mine and the replacement seat only has one. Any idea what each does? The larger grey color harness plugs right in but the smaller yellow plug does not have a mate on the replacement seat. Can I run OK without the smaller yellow colored harness plugged in? Thanks! |
Typically yellow is air bag related. Do you have air bags in your seat? Mine does not and I only recall a single harness that checks to see the seatbelt is plugged in.

Air bags in the seat? Like lumbar support bags? No.

Some of them had air bags in the side of the seat, actual SRS air bags. You'd have a tag. It's odd that there would be a yellow plug without something air bag related but first years do have little quirks and oddities.
Have you started the Jeep to see if it pops up any warnings with your new seat? |
