Default Vacuum pump help

Love the forum guys, thanks for all the great info. Wish my first post wasn't a help me post but I am lost here.

Vacuum pump is making a loud whining noise when I rev the motor. I am positive that it is the vacuum pump. It gets really hot if I leave it connected. I have had it disconnected for a few weeks now while trying to figure out the solution. It has been relocated to front drivers side of the engine compartment. I don't know what kit was used since it was relocated when I bought it. Everything worked fine then, by the way. It drives and brakes perfectly fine without the vacuum, only time I notice is when in cruise control and needing to brake quickly. It does not make any noise while idling or while driving at a steady speed, only when revving or accelerating. I can post a video of the noise if necessary. It is a very clear and distinct noise to the point there is no question that it should not be there.

I am trying to avoid taking it back to the dealer since because it's a long drive and I would have to remove my Bully Dog chip and they might give me shit for the cai. Worse case scenario I'll take it back to them and hope they take care of it for me with the warranty. Hoping you guys can help me out. Thanks

Edit: just noticed that the OP was from a couple of months ago, so assume it was resolved one way or the other by now, but message below still applies

Don't want to add to your troubles, but I read at least one post in the past where a dealer declined to cover the vacuum pump under warranty BECAUSE it had been relocated.
This might be one of those cases where you should just bite the bullet and buy a new one and replace it yourself rather than have a dealer flag your vehicle for all future brake-related repairs (and anything else that requires the vacuum assist).

Good point, for the cost - vs - the potential aggravation
