Default Warranty Void?

Anybody read through the jeep literature to see if aftermarket headunits void the factory warranty???

Anything. I know some auto manufacturers will void your warranty if you mess with their electrical, as would be the case with a headunit. Or, if you have some issue, they'll blame it on the head unit, and not cover the repairs.

The metra adapter for my aftermarket unit warned of serious damage to the vehicle's computer/electrical systems if installed incorrectly. I guess it could be possible to void the warranty??

Just FYI when installing aftermarked system. Don't sit there and test the wires otherwise you'll mess up the computer. Also there is no accessory cable comming from the ignition so you gotta hook up your aftermarket headunit from the starter.....long story short if you don't know what you're doing take it somewhere that does (and be sure they know)

Nothing to worry about...aftermarket HUs do not void the warranty. Period.

If you are screwing around and fry something, however, you could void the warranty on something...but just installing an HU does not void anything.
