Default Weird HID issue

I purchased a DDM Tuning HID kit for my '10 Wrangler. H13 bulbls and wiring harness. Installed Last week and everything worked...except the high beams. Now I bought the same kit for my 07 Mustang which also uses H13 bulbs and the same style wire harness and guess what, same issue.

Here's what happens. Turn on the headlight master switch on the dash and the HID's turn on. Turn on switch for high beams, headlights turn off. Turn off switch for high beams, headlights turn on. This happens in both vehicles so I don't think it's a JK specific wiring issue.

This is a bixenon kit so the bulb actuator should be triggered by the control module in the wiring harness to actuate the bulb. That is not happening.

I've contacted DDM tuning's tech support and they don't believe I could have 2 bad harnesses but who knows. Waiting for a response.

Anyone else have something like this happen?

hmm idk man, i have the same kit and i have never had a problem with high beams, i guess what you could do. is double check that u installed the kit right and pluged everything in right. and just so you know all the high are is a magnet in the back part of the bulb that pulls the bulb in close and throws out more lights. but you either got a bad harness or something is hooked up back wards. these kits are really touchy and they have to be in right. one little thing out of wack and it doesnt work right the other thing you can try, is to make sure ur high beam switch actually works. thats all i got man. have fun hope it works

DDM Tuning kits are really touchy on how you install them. My friend had a bad wiring harness on his, but 2 bad wiring harnesses would just be wierd. Try and look over it all again, see if anything is wrong, if there isnt, tell DDM. They had my friend send the kit back and they replaced it. He wasnt that happy because he had to wait another 3 weeks to start the process all over again, but he got the replacement, it worked, and he has bought from them since then.
Hopefully it works out in the end for you.

It's definitely hooked up right. I also tested the high beam switch by plugging in a standard bulb into the open driver's H13 connection that is not used. Flipped the high's on and the HID's turned off, but the standard bulb went brighter.

Power is pulling directly from the battery. Everything else is plug and play. It's pretty hard to screw it up. Especially twice on two different cars.

I still am waiting for a response back from DDM.
