Default Wheel Speed Sensor Wire

S

So my speed sensor wire came loose and chaffed against the wheel. Can I just cut and splice it back together? Don't want to take wheel apart an replace.

Welcome to the JKF forum. You have two choices - 1. Splice by soldering and use tape and heat shrink or 2. replace cable. Personally I would simply replace the cable as it is not that difficult as repair/splicing will be about the same time spent as taking off the wheel and brake disk!!.

Yup, you can do either. If you are going to splice it, suggest doing a proper solder job with heat shrink. the only thing that could throw a wrench in things if replacing is if for whatever reason those weren't factory unit bearings. the sensors that after market bearings use are different. if for some reason you did not know the full history of the jeep, that is something to consider.
