Wipers turning on by themselves!
So my front wipers started to intermittently turn on by themselves recently on my 2015 Sahara. They don't go absolutely crazy...they go off maybe once or twice a minute. I've talked to a couple shops and they immediately want to do a TIPM swap. I have no other issues with lights/blinkers/warning lights on dash. My first thought was multifunction switch or clocks spring. Any thoughts or experience with this issue??
First though would be old or weak battery or bad ground wires / locations. the computers don't like voltage fluctuations.
If its the original battery have it load tested
Clean battery terminals (while the cables are disconnected have them touching each other to drain capacitors and reset the computer)
Find the various ground locations there are some on the inner fender by the battery / fuse box, some more in the driver and passenger footwell. Undo the bolts and clean the wires and mounting point. reattach them.
Reattach battery cables making sure they are on tight.
Also you can run a 4 gauge ground from the battery negative to an alternator mounting bolt. The factory engine ground is a known issue on most jeep / chrysler vehicles.
Not guaranteeing that this will fix it but these are the free / cheap steps to take before throwing money at it.

big +1 on Jeff's comment above as a first step. These jeeps are notorious for odd issues when connections/grounds are not perfect. It cost little to nothing in money or time to ensure that is not the issue.
