I'm looking to install a set of Rubi 44 but can't seem to find a good writeup on how to wire up to switches. I've searched on the JK forums as well as good ol google but haven't came up with a detailed install. I'm very mechanical but not great with electrical diagrams and such. Any help would be appreciated.

No write-up, but this is how I have mine wired. I use a 'safety' switch (a rocker switch) to the left of my steering wheel to arm the actual locker switches which are located below the heat/ac controls.

I should mention that the way I have the switches wired, the upper light is on when I hit the switch. The lower 'slit' light turns on when the locker actually locks.

I went the easy route of wiring them right to my sPOD. My safety net is less low tech than Jedg....I made a small angled wood block that I slide behind the two contura switches so someone doesn't accidentally turn them on.

I spliced the factory plugs into my own harness. I was able to get the plugs from a salvage yard.

I just used the factory plug I was able to round up as well, extending the wires to where I needed. There are some that just used some blades to connect the wires to the blades in the plug, and then just fill the plug with epoxy to seal everything up. It's just simple 2 wires, so nothing complex.

To expand on what I was saying last night.....if you're just talking about how to hook the wires to the plug at the diff. That little plug is just a bridge basically. if you undo the bolt holding it to the diff and pull it out, you will see the locker actually plus in to the bottom side of it. That little plastic "bridge" that connects the wires inside the diff to the wires outside it costs like $25-$27 IIRC. The cheapest solution would be to remove that plug from the diff, hardwire 6" or so of wire to each connector in the plug, and then fill the plug in with epoxy. Once cured, just reinstall that in the diff and you now have some pigtails that you can connect to the rest of your wiring. If you ever need to remove the axle, you can separate the pic tail from the rest of your wiring that goes to the switch.

If that piece was not replaceable, I might be a little more hesitant to suggest this route, but considering you could easily replace that in the future if need be, it's not a big deal.

I didn't bother messing with the plug for the plunger. My sPOD switches don't have the second light that illuminates when the switch is not active, so there was no reason for me to wire that up.

I ran a singe 12v power wire and a round. Used a rocker switch and it was all good.
