What's up buddy? Hoping I have all the tools and some know how to do gears when ya get back! Then we can attempt to put 3.73 in the dirty banana haha. If that goes well my plan is to buy 35s and go up to 4.56

You might as well switch to 4.56 straight off then. I know a fella that will have a set of 35 inch KM2s for sale in May.

I agree. But I want to do 3.73 because if I mess those up I can find them cheaper than a set of 4.56. And where is that guy located?

Mitch, welcome to the forum. What are your impressions of the Mickey Thompson tires? I am running BFG KM2s and considering the MTZs.

I honestly just got them put on. They are about quarter tread. They are fairly loud for only a 285/75r17 but ride nice and have good road manners. As soon as Rock Krawler sends me my jam nut for my tie rod I will go play a little bit and see how good they are. I also need to fix my front axle so I'm not able to really push them to their limits.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check back after you get the front end sorted. Cheers🍻

So I was able to go do a little bit of 2wd play, nothing crazy but these tires did great. Did a brakestand til the axle almost touched the ground in a sand pit, the tires crawled right out, went into some mud, had no issues, went up a few hills that were fitted out pretty bad, and fully flexec my jeep out, and was able to crawl up the hill just fine. These tires have about 1/4 tread and I run 25psi in them. They are great! Really can't wait to put them through the ringer in 4wd.

So, just a little update, not much has changed on my jeep. But I am ordering a JCR transmission crossmember tomorrow to replace my bent up one, and trading my axles and some cash, for perfectly good, axles with 3.73 on friday. I'll be ordering 5 35x12.50r17 Federal Couragia M/T's in March and that will be the extent of my build for a while. But I will continue to do little Knick Knacks here and there to it when I can. I will also do a little write up on the JCR cross member and the tires once I receive them!
