3.6l jk hard start after sitting for 20 minutes to a few hours.
I have been trying to figure this out for a few months now. When my jeep sits for 20 minutes to about 5 or 6 hours it has a hard start issue. I have replaced the fuel pump twice, once by myself and another time at a shop ( I didn't get charged when it had the same issue). I have also replaced all the Injectors with Mopar ones just incase they were leaking down. I am not sure what's going on since there is one line to the rail and the rest of them seem like evap lines. Has one run into this issue?
Thanks
Thanks
No codes any other time? Kind of a tough one to diag without physically being there. When you say hard start im assuming you mean its cranking for a while before firing.
Try cycling your key between KOEO and off with like a 3 to 4 second pause between. Do this cycle 3 times then see if your hard start issue still occurs. This could help rule out it being a fuel issue or something else like ignition or airflow. Poor compression (unlikely) could also cause a hard start as well as poor ignition.
I would also check for any vacuum leaks throwing off mixture.
Ill be following to see what others recommend as well.
