Default Head Gasket replacement - unidentifable wire/plug

Okay, so buttoning up my 2007 JK (3.8L) after a fairly uneventful head gasket replacement, but I am left with one cable that I can't seem to find a plug for. It appears to be the same style plug as what is used on the fuel injectors, alternator, and some other sensors, so I suspect it's sensor related. The wiring is coming out of the harness on the passenger side of the engine bay near the battery. It's fairly long (black and red/green wires) with two zip tie downs. The odd thing is that I've looked at pictures of other JKs with a 3.8L and have not seen this wire in any of those images...

Any thoughts?

i don't have 3.8L or else i'd run look for you. one thing that comes to mind that is not always in sight is crank sensor, but i know on the 3.6L that is part of the wiring loom towards the front with what runs to the alternator. not sure on the 3.8L. other thing is the evap purge valve that would be on passenger side.

Another thing i just thought of, but no clue if similar on the 3.8L is down the back side of the engine on passenger side and to the transmission.

Thanks for the reply. I think that I may have figured it out. I found an image on the net of a 2007 JK engine bay and it appears that this wire goes to a hood mounted light that I don't have (prior owner may have changed hood as the grounding strap was also not connected) and doesn't appear to be present on later year models. So as it turns out, this wire has probably been dangling there for a while.

I'll know for sure if codes start getting thrown when I start her up for the first time :-)
