Tis the season for road trips, even with high fuel prices... After reading a few posts about Jeeps and other vehicles getting stuck/stranded as well as being stranded myself. I thought this might be a good place to start.

What do you carry with you on a road trip in case of emergency?


I Leave with:
A FULL tank of gas
Blanket
Knife
Bottle of water
A lighter
Car charger for cell phone
Road Flares
Tire inflator (Fix-A-Flat)

You might want to add a flashlight, first aid kit, and a compressor. Even if the fix-a-flat seals the puncture, you might still need more air to get the tire properly inflated. I also like to keep a towel and a change of clothes with me.

I also like to keep an interesting unread book or magazine in the vehicle too. Something to amuse yourself can make a long wait much more tolerable.
