General Info
Alright I'm just gonna put it out there I'm new to the wheeling world. If yall could give me some pointers and advice from what yall know from experience that would be great! I'm still learning so cut me some slack!

+1 on this. Went to Tahuya (in Washington) this weekend and attempted to go down a rocky path, ended up getting stuck. Thankfully, I listened to this board and one of the other 7 vehicles was there with a recovery rope and pulled me back up!

Identify what level of offroading you will be doing. This will help you determine what you need to do, if anything, to your jeep. Things to you can do that will help as a start:
1. 2.5" (or more, depending) Lift kit
2. quick disconnects
3. Tire upgrade. If you have the BFG KM2's and you only do light offroading, these should be fine.
4. offroading equipment (towstraps, tools, etc)
If you are new to offroading, then as others have suggested, try going with some others as a group. Not just anyone, but people that can actually show you how you need to drive. Don't go with the dumbasses that bring a case a beer and then baja through the woods.
