There is a series of hi-lift videos on youtube I highly recommend watching them if you've never used one, it will answer a lot of your questions.

You can't use the hi lift on a stock Jeep, because of the bumpers made of plastic.

To use a hi-lift, you need aftermarket bumbers made of steel, or frame bolted rockers.

You can also use the hi lift mate http://www.quadratec.com/products/92200_90.htm but you won't be able to change a wheel. Useful only if you are stuck.

You can still use the factory jack under the differential, or you can carry a bottle jack.

I have the same question... Have about 3 inches of lift on my JKU.

Quadratec sells a base for the stock sissor Jack that will give you an additional 3" of height. I am thinking about getting one for emergency tire changes. Anyone have experience with this product?

Also, what about working at home? Anyone know of a floor Jack that can handle the additional height?

Recommended Jack stands for lifted jeep?

Thanks.

DO NOT CHANGE YOUR TIRE WITH A HI-LIFT JACK!!!! I've read so many stories about people being hit in the face, resulting in missing teeth/broken noses etc... It's just not worth it.

The AEV jack base is very useful, stable, and sturdy. It gives several inches of additional lift to the stock scissor jack, and when you store it as designed, it has little areas for lug key locks, thin walled sockets, etc. Came with my AEV lift, I love it.
