Default Quadratec question

Just called and tried to order some flat fender flares for pick up, as I live in the area. Was told they're not in stock and would have to be shipped. No problem. I asked if I could pick them up if they ship them to the store. Was told no that I would still have to pay for shipping...??? Is that right? That sounds bogus to me.

That does not sound like good business practice to me. You have a potential buyer on the phone wanting to purchase a product which you normally stock. So if the purchaser lives in the area and wants to pick the item up from the store that is in stock then no shipping but because it is not in stock customer must pay shipping to store then pay for product.

Do we not see the problem here. I can see if it was a speciallity item and they were bringing it in as a one off yes but not for something the stock on a regular basis.

Wait for them to be in stock again.

I'm sure if you speak to someone else or give them more details on your location and that you'd like to do business with them but do not want to pay shipping, they will accomodate. Might have just got the wrong person on the wrong day ya know? It does sound bogus, I wouldn't want to pay shipping if I lived close and could pick them up...

One thing I have noticed is if you go through google shopping to quadratec you get free shipping. So I would cancel your order search for the part you want on google.com then click "shopping" find the link to the quadratec site and put the item in your cart from that link and when you check out you will get free shipping.

I'm not sure why the sales rep you spoke with did not offer you free shipping. We do that for local customers who were wanting to pick up parts we didn't have in stock in the WC warehouse. Did they give you their name by chance? We also do weekly pick ups from our secondary warehouse for international and customer pick up orders. Which would also be a free shipping service to you. For any future orders, please feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll get a quote entered for you and check on the stock status.

p.s. - Forgot to mention that I also give free UPS ground shipping to all forum members, and reduced rates for other freight services.
