Default Should I Air Down?

Going on a little off road trip this weekend. The ride is about 2-3 hours. Ill be driving typical Western NC mountains, mud and rocks.

Should I air down? I have a small pump to re-inflate tires afterwards. Tires are stock Goodyear Silent Armors.

So, you don't belive me?
It is really a personal preference, the lower you go the better traction you will get.

In addition to more contact area aired-down, less chance of damage when the tire can conform a bit. Above pic is a 32" GY silent armor (LT275-70/17).

Enjoy the trip,
