All depends on the type of wheeling you do. If you play in serious rocks don't expect them to withstand an extreme hit because they bolt to the pinch seam which is a weak link. There are better out there but for the most part they offer decent protection.

Mine handled some pretty good usage. As someone on here once mentioned, they're rock sliders, not rock slammers. In my 2012 there were 2 bolts each that went up into the frame rail. I have since replaced.

Im thinking yours being a two door might have helped (less weight). I "Slid" up on a rock with mine and they pushed into the body hard enough I couldnt open the doors until I was off the obstacle.

I could definitely see that making a big difference. Less weight and probably a sturdier slider having mount points more condensed
