Default suspension. ..

Do my JK came with a pretty basic procomp 4 inch lift. It's a pretty rough ride... I'm not so sure if this is normal for a jk as this is my first one. I want to upgrade the suspension so I can get a smoother ride. I do some light off roading, nothing extreme tho. Any suggestions on which direction to go here? I was thinking skyjackers 4 inch lift package in the powder coated red.

Crap for crap.
Start with shocks if you want a better ride.

Lower the height, widen the stance, look at your tire rating and the pressure you are running. Read the link in my signature. Fill out your profile and give more information on how your rig is set up, what you do with it, and what you want to get out of it.

I agree with all the above. I'd stay away from skyjacker as well.

I was in the same situation when I got my jk with the 4" pro comp lift. The ride was unbearable! Even the smallest bumps and dips in the road felt like I went over a speed bump at 50 mph. I lowered my tire pressure to 28 psi and replaced the shocks (that were completely shot) with Rancho's 7000's. Made a huge improvement but it's still a lot more rough than my mustang was, but that's comparing apples to oranges. I would've gone with the Rancho 9000's but the budget was tight at the time.

I think I've decided to go with a skyjacker lift with upgraded shocks. I totally agree on the pro comp shit. Its terrible.
Hopefully this will smooth out the ride and still give me the ability to handle some minor off roading.

Pro comp to skyjacker. Seems like you are choosing which turd tastes better. Neither are quality.
