15 in the rocks and 5-12 in the sand.

Didn't notice what size wheels you are running but if on a bigger wheel I would be much less inclined to take it to single digits.

20 to 22 PSI is still considered "roadable" and is a bit high. 15 psi is a safe MAXIMUM for general wheeling, and 10-14 PSI feels much nicer.

I roll ~12 psi and haven't popped a bead yet. Oh, and I don't have a hi-lift which means I'm hosed for saying this. I'll post bead-popping pics soon...

I run 35x12.50x15 km2's on 15x8 Cragar soft 8 wheels. I never been in the sand before. (I live in east Texas aka the piny woods) I'm going on a wheeling trip in some river bottum that's mostly sand but will regular old dirt and red clay, not new to that at all. But what psi should run since ill be dealing with both? Don't want to go to low for the clay and dirt but I dont want to go to high for the sand.

I have the same tires just the A\T and I run 18 psi on the road as a DD....its what gave me the best chalk test. Wheeling I go as low as 8 -12 psi

I'm getting 19 mpg and thats with the speedo being about 5-10mph under....so the mileage I use to calculate is a bit less than it should be. I chalked the tires many times and anything above 18 psi was not wearing properly.
I thought the same thing you did....it seemed very low, but the chalk test has never failed me in the past.

I have a set of 285/75/16 mtr's that are load range E, I am getting ready to do some off roading for the first time at the Badlands in Indiana. What pressure should I probably run? And I am using stock wheels.
