thanks so much for this tidbit of information. you definitely saved me a HUGE headache. I traded in my JK on monday for a dodge ram 1500 quad cab hemi... i returned it to stock and figured all would be well... but when i saw your post i plugged it in and sure enough it was still freakin locked to my jeep that was now in the dealer's possession. i emailed superchips and they were cool about it...

i don't feel too bad highjacking since this thread is about to die since it was sold, but if anyone is interested, mine is good to go now.

Hey I have a huge question, I just bought a used superchip off of ebay. The guy told me he reset it to stock, but I got it and it is still reading his VIN!! I have a feeling something similar happened. Can you explain what you had to do to reset the TPMS flashpac thing???

it depends. if you plug it in to your computer to light it up, go to power settings or vehicle settings or something like that, it will say what he left his car on. if it says stock then its probably something else like tpms thats keeping it locked... if its not stock, then they might not help you out and you'll have to pay the $100 to unlock it

they close at 5... since you're not the original owner i dont know if they'll help. try talking to the seller, and then talking to them.

these things are always such a hot item even with all the headaches of transferring ownership. That being said, im still looking to buy one....
