somebody shud speak to the mods about getting a trailer section going ,
here is mine, the xj has been sold and been replaced with a 2010 rubi,
i will be pulling the trailer apart this winter for some new goodies and a paint job to match the rubicon,
of course the rubi will be getting a make over as well

[QUOTE=fast deputy;1870903]Bought this little guy for 300 bucks off of the much loved CL!
Fast Deputy: Nice job on rebuild to match the jeep. I like the fact the trailer is still true to its original design without getting hacked up. Hope you get many years of use out of it.

Update: Lid added.
Decided to make a lid to keep the items inside more secure. Since I have zero welding skills and I wanted to keep to my original plans of no drilling or welding the physical structure of the trailer I went with wood. I built the lower frame of the lid so it would float on the lip of the tub. It was a fairly simple and as far I've seen poking around other posts no one has attached lid frames using the same concept. A attached a pic of what the design of the lid frame looks like (it was a screwed up first attemt but the rest turned out much cleaner). I still need to add a couple of adjustable latches to the lid to keep closed tight while traveling. I got up on top of it and jumped around on the middle and ends to ensure it was solid. The lid didn't flinch. For a mod with a grand total of $145 I can't complain. Enjoy.
