Sorry, to answer the last question i have no wheel spacers, but my wheels have 4.5" backspacing.

I went with a 2.5" teraflex lift with bilstein shocks. The ride is excellent. I also went with a 1" body lift because I was concerned that the rear tire would hit the pinch seam in the back, but there was not issue at all with that. So I will probably take the body lift off and add some flat bushwacker flares. Also, I have had zero issues with any deep ruts or clearance problems.

Dude, I was wanting a 3.5 or 4" lift, but you may have just talked me into the 2.5". I appreciate the info.

The other thing you need to think about when you go any higher than 2.5", you really need to change out your drive shafts as well. I have been able to piece my lift together as money has come available. I have done the lift and changed out the steering stabilizer. Than I put the bigger tires on (which ment I needed to change out the stock tire carrier as well because of the weight of the 35" on the door). Now, I am working on changing out the track bars (which don't absolutely need to be changed out but will definately improve the durability over time).

Bottom line up front, the nice thing about the 2.5" is that you don't have to change out everything right away as you do with larger lifts, but if you have the $ and can afford to change a lot of things out than a larger lift may be better for you.

Ideally, I'd like something that's smooth on the road without giving up gas mileage, handling, etc. that would also allow me to go anywhere I wanted or needed off road. I know there's no perfect solution, but I'd like to get as close as possible. I'm on 3.73 gearing, and I'm thinking that'll have to change, but not sure what to go up to. That said, the wheels and tires I'm eyeballing are M/T Baja MTZ tires in a 315/70R17 (35") on the M/T Classic III Black wheels in 17x9.

Thanks bud  Not much to it other than lift and tires. Cut stock bumper cut flares (no flares right now lol, and some bedliner. With the BB you don't really gain any flex over stock, but it does just fine for me :)
