I have 1 1/4" spacers. If I were to do it again, I'd go with 1 1/2" as the tires rub the control arms a little. Nothing to be worried about, it just drives me nuts.

You guys using the stock spare tire carrier, spare tire carrier with spacer, or aftermarket carrier altogether?

I think the 35" on stock wheels looks awesome!!! If they didn't reqire wheel spacers that is what I would run. Looks great guys. 35s should have came on the Wrangler from the factory.

I'm just going to get the TeraFlex Spare Tire Extension Bracket until I get a new rear bumper with a carrier. I used the extenders on my TJs and it was fine. But that's a lot of weight on the tailgate. It's not a long term solution, IMO.

Actually, they even state this on some sites selling the bracket:
"Note: Based on the offset of the wheel and tire size used, this bracket may allow you to mount a tire that is too large to be supported by the factory bracket. If too large of a tire is used severe damage to the tailgate will occur. We do not recommend tires over 32” to be mounted on the factory tailgate tire bracket."
