Default Added hood struts

Second mod that I have done to my JKU. I added hood struts to the Wrangler this afternoon today. Don't know why Jeep didn't include these as a stock item for the hood. Took me about an hour to install. Might have gotten it done quicker hadn't it been 25 degrees out. I had to thaw out my fingers a couple of times. I think it turned out nice. This will make it easier for me to work on the motor without having to use the stock support prop rod. Here is a picture of how it looks.

Yes, Good addition and Nice for working under hood. Have had for several years on the Gladiator.. Several times I did disconnect to allow the hood to lay back on the windshield when necessary; use a padded vinyl fender cover on the top edge of windshield.

Thanks. I need to change the spark plugs soon. This will help since I am going to have fun changing them out.

I found these on eBay. Here is a link to the one I bought.

I think that they are specific to various models. Just need to do a search on ebay. I happened to come across them for my Wrangler.

I'd really like to add something like this, but I fear I don't have the clearance with dual battery setup on one side and winch control box and brake vacuum relocated on the driver's side.....in addition to a lot of wire loom on both sides.
