Bedlining Help

2 Attachment(s)
I am new to this bedlining, well and painting too.....and I just barely had the courage to bedline my gastank cover as it was getting annoying looking at the condition it was in from the previous owner. So anyways here are some before and after pics....but my question is....should I apply a coat or two of a clear coat?...I am not wanting it shiny....what would be the correct steps when applying liner?...I sanded it down then applied primer then lightly sanded it again then applied 2 coats of duplicolor bedliner....

and what do u guys think of the "new" gas tank cover?

I think you did it right, It looks great. I would not clear coat it. The flat matches the fenders etc. better.

Turned out nice, looks like new.

Read the back of the can and see if the bed liner has built in UV protection. If it does your fine. If not, you can get a Flat Clear Coat, and that will give you the UV protectiion you need.

Bed limer without UV protection will turn gray after time.......

i have the same cover and the first thing I did was bedline it. It looks great. I would have tried to find some torx screws to put in there because the phillips heads look out of place IMO

I like it but if you try herculiner later you will want to change it. I'm in the process of going back and redoing everything that I had bedlined with duplicolor and hitting it with the better stuff. Nice jeep though!!
