Default Burried!

Went to visit my wife's family at their ranch in central Texas right before Christmas and finally popped the jk's cherry. Started off king of the hill and ended up rail deep in a creek bed. AWESOME.

Unfortunately not, I had it on the skids. It took a full size Kubota with a front loader to get me out. The front tow hook was the point used and took it like a champ, I have read guys questioning the stock hook capabilities, but I'll tell you what after seeing that I have hugh faith in them.

That would have been nice. Haha. I'm still getting mud out of this thing. But, I scuffed up the wheels so now I am free to wheel, the pain is dissipating. Lol!

Those first scratches are always the most nerve-racking. Now when I hear the scratching of branches on my paint, I just smile.

It's not so much the wounds themselves but the high pitched "screeeeeech" when you know your paint is getting tagged....

Yeah, I added some custom pin striping to my doors and vinyl windows the first time I took my JKU on the trails. It was heartbreaking, but now it's done and I don't have the fear anymore - one less thing to worry about.

I haven't gotten around to the pin striping yet, that would be sad.

Well, some wax and buffing have made most of the stripes in the paint hard to see, but there's not much to be done for the plastic windows, I think. Either way, I look at them like a badge of honor, like a scar with a story behind it.
