Chopped top?
1 Attachment(s)
Saw this on instagram made me think, anyone on here ever chopped the top on a JK? What was the cost? I'm far from doing this as more important components need to upgrade first but curious to know as it looks pretty cool!

I love the look but it just isn't practical in my opinion. For starters, I am of average height and my head just about lines up with the factory roll cage as is. Chop a few inches off and one would have to figure out how to lower the seat or basically sit with the head above the roll cage.
Also, if you plan to run a top, then you would need a custom soft top or someone really good with fiberglass to "possibly" modify the stock one. |
Looks cool but might be more trouble than it's worth

Black Ops4x4
I love the look and think Blacok Ops 4x4 did it best so far, and they lowered the seats to do it right.

Chopped top hot-rods, Mercury led-sleds and VW bugs are very cool !!! Now try driving it .... I don't mean Friday night cruises, daily driving ain't so easy. You're neck will thank you for a regular size windshield.

That JKU actually doesn't have a chopped top, it has no top or windshield. He's a member on this forum. BlackWidowJK One Ton Build . |
