Does anyone have any info. on fabricators that may be producing these in a kit for the JK? I'm wanting the vintage look.

 

swagoffroad.com has a kit for TJ/YJ, maybe they will make one for the JK sometime.
I think they use repo CJ hinges and drilled and tapped plates. I don't see why you couldn't do something similiar yourself.

 

They have a jk kit...I'm looking for something like the one on the back forty jeep? Embossed JEEP LOGO...

 

any of the kits that are out there just modify your tailgate to drop down instead of swing out. if you want the embossed jeep logo in it you would have to do some body work.

no one makes a complete replacement tho. wish they did because having the factory one fold down with the hump it has in it could be annoying.

 

A few companies make a kit to turn the tailgate to into a drop down tailgate. If you could find a CJ tailgate and a good body shop they could mold the outer piece into the tailgate. There is a thread of this if you search for it, and i believe there was a company in japan making a kit that was complete, but they weren't importing it into the US
