I went wheeling and have a few scrapes, nothing like a little wheeling to show you the weakness of your vehicles.
I know there are some brackets out there to relocate it up so it's protected by the tie rods.

Been there, done that.

I have the single RCX on mine now, but if it ran fine without it, I see no reason to replace it. I've been thinking of removing mine as the bracket hits the tie-rod sometimes.
