I think he literally uses the fan to cool the engine. I know I saw something about that fan in an older post somewhere.

The fan and resevoir on the hood is the cooling system for the hydro-assist steering he has on. For cooling purposes, it's more funcional on the hood.

As I understand, his next plans are D60s and 42" tires. That 's why he did the comp cut on the rear. It will be a lengthened, LCOG (low center of gravity) crawler. I think we should wait to see this project finalized before rendering any negative judgements. This jeep is being built for extreme use, not as a DD.

That is for sure. Just check out some of his older posts and the wheeling pics. Trust, that cage is not just there for looks. neither is all the steel plating. It is a bad ass rig, but if I were to comp cut my JK, I think it could have been a little cleaner...as far as function goes, it will definitely more than get the job done! That being said, I am not able to cut into my JK... I am still struggling with trimming the pinch seam and cutting the fender flares (which I will do down the road when I make the jump to 37s!)
