Got hard top off, soft top on, and doors off
Now that I've got her home I finally got some time to get the hardtop off and the soft top on, take her doors off for the summer, and clean out my garage after the wedding so I can park it in there again. I was able to build a hardtop hoist and door hangers for storage as well. I'm ready to finish her up underneath with the trusses/ C gussets, skids and drive shafts so we can get off the pavement soon. We have really enjoyed driving it this way for a week or so now!

That's awesome! Looks good! Enjoy the summer

I'd be careful with hanging the doors. I know it causes the tj doors to crack at the front where the window frame meets the body of the door.
I built a cart/stand thing with a movers dolly from harbor freight and some 2x4s but you could always just take a pool noodle, cut it to the length of the door, and then slice down one side of the tube so it acts as a foam barrier for the bottom of the door while it's sitting on the ground.. Nice looking rig though, wish we could have afforded an unlimited for the kiddo; alas we could not.. |
I like the interior.... It's already the color of dirt!
