Default How do ya like this idea?

I searched the market looking for a tire carrier that would drop down, and make it easier for me to change a flat, or include my spare in the tire rotation. Well I had no luck locating one so i decided to build one. I know its not the quality of work you guys are used to seeing, but I am kinda proud of it and thought I would come on and get beat up a little bit, and see what you guys thought. I put together a little video to kinda show ya how it works. Remember its a work in progress. I had to get to this stage to see what need to be changed. So be open minded when ya see it. Its gonna get better. I built the bumper to. Its not real fancy, but definatley sturdy. anyway I hope ya guys like and if nothing else maybe good comedy relief. oh ya this thing was built in my drive way on a pair of cender blocks and the front end loader of my tractor. I think it is awesome that you built that. I think you should keep it as opposed to buy one like it. If I meet someone and they tell me they bought a bumper or something and just installed it, all I think is... I wish I had the money to toss at my JK to do that. However every time you get a complement, or every time you look at it, you know that you put hours of time into that mod and it means alot more. I have mad respect for people that build their own bumpers. I want to get a cheap welder so I can start trying to do stuff like this!!! Great job pappasmurf

Thats actually pretty cool man. Kudo's to you. My only concern is that the price of a normal tire carrier is just about unaffordable. With this added feature you might only be able to reach the rich folks.

Actually this add-on is not that pricey. Where the big price is the jigging that is required to mass produce the product. You add in the machine work these guys are putting into these things, and that's where the massive price comes in. Now you figure the fact that we all are chasing the American dream.bamm 1500.00 bucks
