In Jeep iPad Installed - PADHOLDR
Really wanted to have my iPad 4 mounted in my JK, which is my daily driver and also my office. Just installed the Padholdr Ram Lock system and am reasonably happy. The look is perfect if installed correctly, the locking device around the iPad is solid, too. The only thing I'm not impressed with is the bracket which is is not steady enough. I may decide to manufacturer my own bracket out of a metal thickness more suitable for holding things still. The ball joints need tightening with both hands if you want the thing to not droop but after a small fight it's now staying pretty much in place. I'm not sure it would fair well off-road with this bracket. You'd more than likely get a slap in the head from an airborne iPad but on the roads it's reasonable.
This was all posted hands free from inside my Jeep so it does work!

Looks nice. I mounted my iPhone several months ago and happy with Pro Clip. They have an iPad version as well. The only issue is that I change the angle to insert the phone when I get in which loosens the movable mount and have to tighten it once and awhile.
Odd though your steering wheel is on the wrong side of the cab.

Have to say, I'm loving having the iPad beside me in the Jeep each day. Wasn't sure about this one but being able to surf whilst stuck in London traffic is reason enough to fit this mod.

Amazon.com: Padholdr Ram Locking Tablet Dash Kit for iPad and Other Tablets: MP3 Players & Accessories
The bracket fits into the front panel so is very unobtrusive and like you said, looks OEM.
