Jeep Laptop Mount
Picked up a laptop mount from a company (not a sponsor, but easily searched on google). Mounted real easy, no drilling needed.
I use the computer to track myself real-time on Google Earth mainly. Connect a GPS device to the computer through USB, and Google Earth can track your coords in real-time using satellite imagery. If you don't have an internet connection, Earth will display whatever is saved in your cache. I make sure to preload the areas I'm visiting while connected to the internet, then later on I can see all the satellite detail! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...h/_MG_8691.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...h/_MG_8689.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...h/_MG_8704.jpg |
Depending where you angle the laptop, it doesn't interfere with the passenger no. The way I have it in the picture would make it uncomfortable in that seat, but it's really adjustable.. height, angle, etc.. It also helps to have a small computer. The arm also comes out of the post in a snap, so you can remove it if need be.
