Leather Seats.... I know
OK, This was my wife's idea. I would have preferred vinyl seats. But, in the end, the leather does not feel as hot as vinyl.
It was a "dealer option." Basically the dealer sends the Jeep out to a local shop when it comes in, but you get to roll the cost into your loan instead of coming up with the cash. My wife knew if we drove it off the lot without having paid for it in the loan then I would never find the time to get the stuff installed. Anyway, here are a few pics... I'm ready for the abuse... http://my.project-jk.com/data/500/me...f_DSC05056.JPG http://my.project-jk.com/data/500/medium/DSC04531.JPG |
Actually...that looks pretty good to me. I don't have a problem with leather...it's been pretty durable in my other rides.

That looks good :yup:

It looks good and if it keeps the wife happy  At least you have your Jeep!
|
sweet ...the wife flexibility you had will payoff in the future for something you might want to do to the Jeep :D

Makes me jealous. I'd want a darker colour in mine though; hides stains better.

I went with the gray because the installer thought it did not come with covers for the headrests (but they did) and this gray matched the headrest exactly. It's actually a bit darker than it appears in the photos. I initially thought of going with black, but the seats would have been unbearable when the top is off. The guy working there was pushing yellow & black leather to match the paint of the jeep. A little too much for my taste (as an engineer in his mid-30's). As it was, my wife didn't even like the black stitching. Anyway. the next installment of making this the family truckster comes next week. I should get delivery of the 3rd row from Little Passenger Seats next Friday, to up the capacity to 7. I know the REAL JEEPS wouldn't have it, but when DC added that extra set of doors they really opened the door (bad pun) for us guys with families. |
i want covers on my headrests....... a seat cover company could make lots of dough selling factory matched head rest covers with padding.
I like it a lot. |
