And in terms of the "Eco Freaks" who think they are going instinct, I have done lots of reaserch for school in the Bow Valley corridor and the grizzly population is down almost 40 percent in the last ten years in Alberta and BC. Oddly enough a bear has not been found in Canada in over 75 years that has died of natural causes.
As well talking with our Companies Biologist in the Dawson Creek area, Wow you would be shocked.....populations are growing as well.
The facts you are getting in your studies and textbooks are more than likely spoon fed by the Sierra Club & Green peace. Give me a break on a grizzly bear never found dead of natural causes in 75yrs in Canada. Wow....another Sierra Club, Greenpeace or better yet a David Suzuki quote. So, are you going to keep track of all the back country bears without a GPS/radio collar within there home range? To find a dead bear is like looking for a needle in a hay stack in the wilderness without a GPS/radio collar on every single Grizzly bear in the Wilderness.
Couple words for you "Hug a Logger you will never go back to trees"

You Canadians are so blessed. You have some of the most beautiful land in the world. Dont get me wrong, America has Alaska, Colorado, Montana, West Virginia, Washington, etc. but there is just something about the area north of the border.
