I'm leaving for Moab tomorrow and very similarly, can't wait to try it. I did adjust the tire size in my tuner and saw no discernible difference other than speedometer accuracy. I plan to talk to them at the vendor fair at the Easter JeepnSafari where they will be installing one on a 3.6L live.

Did you ever talk with Magnuson at the Easter Safari? I have been back and forth with them via email for the last few weeks. The transmission is holding gears terribly (especially 3rd to 4th and 4 to 5). The surging problem is about 50% better after the 2nd tune they sent. At this point they are pointing the finger at Diablo for not decoding the trannys yet for the 2012-13 models. Then Magneson went on to say that they are working on it but no time frame to the fix. I am very disappointed to say the least because its bad enough that it is not even enjoyable to drive. I feel they released there system too soon and / or without adequate testing / tuning. I would not recommend this supercharger for any 3.6 application until they get the bugs worked out. I could have spent 5k on a lot of other things besides a shitty driving Jeep.

Mine was the Jeep that they installed the supercharger on at Moab and I can tell you that I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I got to wheel Kane Creek after they installed it and the power delivery was awesome on trail. The system delivered power smoothly and there were no sudden boost hits, like other systems have and yes I have personally watched it happen. During the roughly 800 mile drive home the vehicle pulled hard when going through mountain passes and gave me that extra I needed to maintain a reasonable speed uphill. Would I do it again? Absolutely yes. The system starts making power where it should in a Jeep, just off idle. Does it make the most hp on the market? No. But what good is another 15 hp at 6000 rpm?

I have 5,000 miles on mine now (3,000 of those during the Moab trip). Overall I am pretty happy with mine. My surge is at speeds that I don't normally drive (75mph and up) and at those higher speeds gas mileage suffers greatly. I averaged 16.5 mpg on the trip but peaked at over 18mpg for one tank. I think what you may be experiencing is far different than my issue - which I would describe as minor. The couple lights I had turned out to be some loose connections at the throttle body. Performance driving through the Colorado mountains was great. I can't even imagine driving a stock 3.8 in the mountains. . I hope you get yours solved. I spoke to several folks from magnuson while out there and watched them with the 3.6 install for a while. They did indicate there were small things they continue to fine tune but they felt they addressed most and upgraded a few things on the 3.6 from the 3.8 design.
Nice pics! I wish Moab wasn't so far away from me. I would love to wheel it.

As I mentioned earlier the only reason for nitrous is out of the hole power before the supercharger can create enough boost. Why the need for the extra power (well to be honest who doesn't like more power)? We almost exclusively wheel our Jeep in the dunes which is a huge horsepower robber. Running 8 to 10 psi on 37" tires, climbing hills atop a moving beach sand surface is probably the worst scenerio I can think of as it relates to horsepower. You simply cannot have enough of it. Is the nitrous necessary? Absolutely not but it does sound fun. I think the problem being a Jeep owner is nothing ever seems to enough but I suppose that is just part of the experience.
