It's tolerable. Not as loud as Boggers. Louder than most mud terrains though. Depends on you.

Yes and you don't have to have it up that loud. I have the trek top and the radio up a lil and its good.

Would you recommend mud grapplers for someone who does fair amount of highway traveling but noise is not a big deal but still considered for them?

If noise isn't a big deal I don't see why there would be any problem? Shouldn't be an issue at all then really. Yes you will have the grappler howl. You can pull up youtube videos and listen to the howl yourself from in cab and side of road noise. There are a lot of other Mud Terrains to choose from that look good and work good, that are also more quiet on road that the grapplers if the noise might be a bother.

There is a lot more tires to choose from but I don't think they look half as good as the mud grapplers
