My singe-swing tire carrier (H2 parts warning)
Friend at work had a tire carrier off of a H2 Hummer that he was going to toss so I got it for free. Wanted it to swing with the tailgate so I scratched my head for a while and came up with this. It works flawlessly with no noises or rattles.
Im sure some will give me crap about the Hummer parts, but for a total cost of about $15 I can live with it :) http://my.project-jk.com/data/1531/medium/tc1.jpg http://my.project-jk.com/data/1531/medium/tc2.jpg http://my.project-jk.com/data/1531/medium/tc3.jpg |

I don't see a welder or oxy torch in the pics, does this mean it's close to a bolt-up unit or was there minor fabrication involved. No hate here for using hummer parts, grab the axle if you want to
Wait, and it opens with the tailgate?? Dude, that is sweet. As for tools....my garage is more of a metal fab shop than a place to park cars:thumbsup: |
