Here is an old thread of what one guy did. A lot of the pics are not available anymore unfortunately. He installed the metal piece with the SA XD gear holster and it works pretty good.

I, just keep it on me, unless going in somewhere, where I can't carry, then it gets locked up in the console.

I wish the rest of his pics still showed up.

Take a look at the new MPAC console rack. It looks to me like it would work well for this purpose.

This thread seems so crazy to me being from Canada where it's obviously illegal to carry around a gun. I don't understand why it's even necessary to have one on you, haha.

On my hip

As far as "necessary" is concerned only you and you alone can decide that for yourself. One could make the argument that seatbelts are not "necessary" most of the time, however I'm sure most people including myself wear them more often than not. Why is that?

..... I'd also like to add that I'm not trying to start some huge argument. I'm just really curious as to why some poeple feel it's necessary to carry a gun on them. I've never met anyone or been able to talk to anyone who lives some place where it's legal to just carry one around on your waist or in your vehicle while you're driving.
I have my CCW Permit and carry most days. I especially carry when I am out in the woods, wheeling or traveling on the highway. I am a responsible carry individual and have no intention of pulling it out for any other reason than to protect myself, property or traveling companions. I would rather have it on me and not need than NEED it and not have it.

This is a crazy world with some serious crazy people in it, all you need to do is read/watch the news for that, and if you don't trust the news just open your eyes. Lastly, if it were between me and some drugged out addict, thief, or just run of the mill criminal... YES without question I would shoot that individual before they had the chance to harm me.
