I like the paint. I have a pair of these to put on; I'm going to paint them first.

I used the Duplicolor caliper paint that withstands over 500 deg. and it has ceramics in it. I got it at Advance Auto. Clean the diff with soap and water real good and then I sanded lightly and sprayed it with 3 coats of self etiching primer. I sand lightly, wiped it down with alcohol and then sprayed it with 3 coats of the red caliper paint allowing a bout 20 minutes between each coat.
After it dried, I masked of the outside of the logo and hand painted with white paint. The skull is painted black. You will have to do some touch up when the white gets in the red and visa versa. Sounds like a lot of troubled but I primed one night and did the rest the next morning. Good luck. |
