Rough Country Installed
Spent about 4 hours today installing my Rough Country 2.5" BB. Would have been 3, but the front swaybars got jacked around and were binding the steering. Took another hour to get that ironed out. Basically wasn't paying attention when I lowered the front off the jackstands, and the swaybars got flipped around the wrong way. Overall I am VERY happy with the results. Jeep sits perfectly level front to back now, no noticeable rake anymore. The stock 32's don't look too bad, but it will look a lot better when my 35's get here next week. It rides exactly like it did before the lift, and doesn't feel top heavy at all. I need to fab up some rear brake line bracket extensions, but other than that the kit was very complete and the install was very straight forward.

Yep, my thoughts also....... |
Nice job! I need a lift and this just makes the want get worse.

Gonna look into that exact lift for Whitney.
Did it just involve 4 coils and a rear track bar relocation bracket? I'd like to get Old Man Emu Shock Absorbers to go with our kit. I'm betting this is gonna net 2" for the Rubicon Model, and with a Winch and Heavy Bumpers 2" is about right for us. |
Looks Great!
Will you please post some pics with the 35's when your all set ? Are you getting new rims, or using the stock? I want the 2.5 boost also, but am trying to figure out the whole wheel rim thing. Thanks! G |
The 35s will be a great look with that lift. What wheels/tires are you going to run?

Good job and Congrats! :2thumbs:
