Show Off Your Jeep Sound
lots of people are trying to figure out which muffler system/s to get and sound plays a big factor in that, so if you've got a video or sound bite of your jeep in which the exhaust is audible, post it up here. EVEN STOCK, as some people, like myself, who unfortunately have yet to experience even driving the new JK's let alone hearing what the 3.8 liter v6 sounds like.
so lets see what you guys got. and don't forget to list whatever mod's you may have on the engine as well as the exhaust. |
this vid's been posted up before but this is another appropriate place for it....magnaflow muffler kept in stock location...no other engine mods as of yet

My Flowmaster 40, muffler only, right after installation, sounds less raspy and more throaty now, I love it.

http://www.deepskye.info/images/jeep/exhaustv1.wmv BUT, I don't think I'd see much performance gain so I think I'll stick with my stock muffler for now. |

Straightpipe
I had a local muffler shop take off the muffler and run a straightpipe. Cost a whopping $40 and has a lot more bite to it now.
