I've already bought a new 6.1 for my new Jeep and I don't even own a new Jeep yet... Horse power before the cart I guess... |

Working on home made stickers...
I'm currently in the process of designing a light control panel to mount overhead in my Jeep. I plan to have a graphic of a Jeep with LED's at each light source location. When the lights are on, the LED's will also be on giving me a visual representation of the energized lights. So far, I've finished my Jeep graphic design. I started with the following image:
http://www.truebluedogs.com/jeep/lights/real-jeep.jpg (I don't remember whose Jeep this is, but if you ever read this thread - thanks for your contribution to my project!) Next, I imported the image into photoshop and removed the background and details, plus added a hard top: http://www.truebluedogs.com/jeep/lights/lc1.jpg Then I realized I would need everything to be an outline in order for the graphic to appear properly on the light panel, so I revised what I had done: http://www.truebluedogs.com/jeep/lights/lc2.jpg Then I inverted it to see what it would look like finished: http://www.truebluedogs.com/jeep/lights/lc-inverted.jpg Finally, I imported the image into Adobe Illustrator and vectorized it. Now it can be taken to any sign shop and made into a sticker: http://www.truebluedogs.com/jeep/lights/lc-final.jpg If anyone would like a copy of the .EPS file to make stickers with, just send me a PM. You're more than welcome to use it on your Jeeps. I'm sure there are more uses for it than just what I've designed it for. When I get finished with the light control panel, I'll do a write-up on the whole thing so you'll be able to see the finished product. David |
