Yes, it's all LoD. The rails are bolted on as per the instructions in the Write-Ups section. They will (and have) held the full weight of the jeep on them so don't let that scare you. If you're a welder or have easy access to one I'd probably go that route.

Yes, it's lifted with a TF 2.5" coil lift and no spacers. After all the LoD steel and the winch it's barely 2.5". If I were going to do it over I'd probably go 4" but the ride of the 2.5 is incredible. I'm still running stock rubi tires so the lift decision will show itself once I end up buying tires, probably 35's.

As for more pictures there should be tons I've posted from Moab last year on the board. Is there anything special you want to see? I love showing off the LoD stuff!

EDIT: Some links to former posts. One of them is the squeeze on Strike Ravine that tested whether or not the rock sliders were going to hold They did.

Here's my original LoD install thread with lots of questions:

I love your links!!! :ya:

Question:
On the front of the bumper, there is an option to add D-rings,
BUT!
What is the purpose of the other holes on the bottom!?

THANKS!

Nope not on the same page:bleh:...i thought you were talking about the 4 holes at the bottom of the bumper where you would bolt the LoD skidplate if you ordered it.

Those brackets you marked look to be part of tow bar system for RV towing .:dontknow2:

I have the optional skid plate. It mounts kind of funky, and I didn't manage to hit it on anything. However if I was going to go through all the trouble of installing this crap I may as well put it on too.

The areas circled in purple are for a blue ox tow bar for RV towing. Part of the reason I got away with getting the JK was because I could put a third seat in and drag it behind the motor home with enough space for my 4 kids. It works great. Chris at LoD did a great job of adding the tabs for me and they have been a god send. (Anyone who has an RV and moved from a tow dolly to a tow bar knows exactly what I mean.) They might look like they will hit off road, but I've only ever touched one down once, and lets just say I was nearly vertical to do it.

Edit: Gratuitous camper pic.

Sweet!
Dose all "full width LoD front bumper" have this option as standard!?
Or you have to custom order it? :?:
(if so... how much extra did you had to pay for this option?)

sburggsx 02-17-2011 05:50 PM

It isn't a standard option and yes you'll have to call Chris and ask about it. I have a feeling he made templates off the mounting brackets I sent to him to have mine made so it probably isn't much of a stretch.

Playing around with light choices ... NOTHING is bolted in yet

One 18" LED bar

Two 5.5" rounds

http://myweb.cableone.net/dSmith-45/two_round.jpg

My Ideal setup ... LED driving light plus two floods ... This is a photoshop. The floods I bought are too deep to fit like this. Driver side light hits the winch top

http://myweb.cableone.net/dSmith-45/ideal_setup.jpg

Compromise but I'll have to fab up some sort of mount for the floods.

Not a lot of room to work with ...

Ok, you have 37's with the full width bumper. I'm going to need more pics please.....
